SC Johnson Supports Families through Donations to Hospitals and Children's Charities
We all know how hard it can be to see a loved one struggle with their health. The hospital is a difficult place for many people, particularly those receiving treatment and the families who love them. And when the patient is a child, it can be especially tough for everyone involved.
That’s why as part of our philanthropic focus on health and well-being, SC Johnson gives grants to hospitals in our communities that support families and patients of all ages.
For example, in 2017, SC Johnson Italy donated 60,000 Euros to OBM Onlus, a nonprofit associated with the Vittore Buzzi Children’s Hospital in Milan. The donation helped create a special space next to the hospital where families who come from outside the region can stay during their children’s treatment. It also supports counseling during hospitalization.

Another contribution from SC Johnson Italy supported the Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer in Milan with a pediatric dentistry clinic for children battling cancer. The program is created specifically for these children, in partnership with their oncology team, to make sure they get the dental care they need.
Contributions by SC Johnson Australia to the Starlight Children’s Foundation have helped fund a playroom at Children’s Hospital Westmead for children who are patients and their families. The donations helped stock the craft corner of the room with paints, pencils, paper and materials, allowing kids to have fun while taking a break from their medical treatments and procedures.
In the United Kingdom, SC Johnson donated £10,000 to help Macmillan Cancer Support provide support to people living with cancer across the South East. Using the money, Macmillan was able to provide small grants to numerous individuals to help them cover medical expenses, purchase items such as wheelchairs, and cover childcare costs during treatments.
In addition, SC Johnson Germany made a 20,000 Euro donation to Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Regenbogenland, a children’s and youth hospice for those with incurable illnesses or severe disabilities. The funds helped renovate the hospice’s dining area, giving families a cozier space to spend time together.
And, for years, SC Johnson Canada has donated to help fulfill medical needs in its hometown community. Support from SC Johnson Canada has helped establish the Brant Community Cancer Clinic and SC Johnson Dialysis Clinic, and the SC Johnson Mental Health and Wellness Resource Centre at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton. Most recently, a donation to Stedman Community Hospice in Ontario supported the construction of a new wing for patients and their families.
Corporate Giving for Children’s Health Upholds our Principles

These and other philanthropic contributions made around the world are an important way SC Johnson lives up to that belief, year after year.
Since 1937, the company has given five percent of all pretax profits to charities.
