With the support of SOS Children's Villages, the company donated R$ 450,000, including repellents, cleaning products and basic necessities, to those affected by the floods in the south of the country
BRAZIL, 31 May 2024 – Due to the emergency situation in Rio Grande do Sul, SC Johnson, a global manufacturer of consumer brands such as Raid®, Lysoform®, OFF!® and Exposis®, today announced the donation of more than 118 thousand units of products, including repellents, insecticides, and home cleaning products. In addition, the company is donating R$ 200,000 to buy food, water, sheets, and mattresses. The financial contribution and through the products, whose total equivalent value adds up to R$ 450 thousand, is destined to the SOS Children's Villages, Global organization leading the world's largest care movement and a partner of the company that is operating in the region impacted by the rains and floods.
Globally, SC Johnson works for a better, healthier world, and this mobilization was a joint effort to help combat and prevent infectious and mosquito-borne diseases that can emerge after major flooding.
This is not SC Johnson's first initiative with SOS Children's Villages. Since April last year, SC Johnson has donated more than 90,600 products to be distributed by the organization, such as repellents, cleaning products, insecticides, and disinfectants. In June 2023, the partnership was expanded with the Novos Horizontes Project, initiative aimed at young people and carried out in Manaus (AM), whose objective is to promote self-knowledge, autonomy and essential skills for the professional future of each of them.
